My little poppy, she gave birth by elected c-section as she had struggled in the last week of her pregnancy. She just couldn't manage anymore.
She had 8 beautiful babies, 2 boys and 6 girls, they were all so gorgeous. The vet told me that none of them was strong enough to survive, i was devastated. I took the babies home in a towel, and tried again to bring them round their bodies were still warm and floppy i cried all weekend. Poppy had to be spayed and stay in the vets overnight but she has now made a full recovery. The vet advised me that poppy just wasn't able to carry all 8 puppies as they were a nice size 2 and that if i would have left her any longer i would have probably lost poppy too. I'm still really hurt by my loss and i wish things had have worked out different but at least Ive still got poppy.x
Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
I will hurt...
And I will be grateful for that hurt
For it bears witness to the depth of my love.
And for that I will be eternally grateful.
